The Homestead| Downtown| Near Bourbon Trail

This place is cute and modern. The furnishings were attractive. I expected to be able to relax and feel at home. Unfortunately, there was loose dirt on the floor, stained furniture, and some cobwebs near the ceiling. Pet hair was on the sofa. Dust was on the glass covered lights. The house and its amenities were fine, the cleaning job was not adequate. Also the bathroom sink was partially clogged. Hire different cleaners and I’d rate this 5 stars

The house was very cute and comfortable. Looks like the photos and very clean. It is close to railroad tracks, so you do hear the train when it goes by. Allen and his team were very responsive any time we reached out and were able to answer any questions we had. The home is close to town and also close to an area park, which was nice for walking our pups. We were concerned about the comments about the driveway, since our vehicle can easily bottom out, but as long as you make sure you stay on the pavement, it is no problem (there is a bit of a drop just off the left side). Overall, we had a wonderful time and this was a great home base for our activities.

The house was in the perfect location for what we were in Lawrenceburg to do (bungee jump off the High Bridge). Wild Turkey distillery was a 5-10 minute card ride, and the surrounding towns of Versailles and Frankfort offered some wonderful shopping/dining spots. The house itself was as described, nice size bedrooms with comfy beds, clean bathroom, nice big well stocked kitchen. The backyard was slightly misleading, especially since we chose it for our two pups to be able to go outside. It was very overgrown (one chair around the firepit was completed engulfed in vines), and there really is only one section of fencing, neither of the sides with neighbors nor the driveway are actually fenced off. So beware if you're bringing dogs, they will still have to be leashed up. There is a train somewhere in the distance we could hear periodically, but we have a train track in our front yard at home, so that was nothing to us :) All in all, it was a wonderful stay for the price!
